The Employee of the 4th Quarter of 2023 is Steven Petitt, Community Maintenance Director. Steve was recognized for going above and beyond his normal duties to accomplish something exceptional.
In the last year, he has stepped up to be Interim IT Director when it was necessary and was always available when needed as both Interim IT Director and Community Maintenance Director. Steve is always willing to help, even coming back to work for council meetings when he was required.
A letter from Frank F. Ortega, Mayor Pro-Tem, read “You continuously go above and beyond for the City of Belen. We appreciate everything you do.”
For this honor, Steve will have his name placed on the Employee of the Quarter Plaque, which is displayed for public viewing in the main lobby of City Hall. He also has earned an additional workday off with pay.
