It is once again time for the K-12 Art and Verbal Art Contests sponsored by the City of Belen Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Cultural Commission and the State of New Mexico MLK Jr. Commission. These contests are in conjunction with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Candlelight Vigil that will be held on January 20, 2025, at 6pm at the Belen Public Library. Winners must attend the Vigil to receive their awards.
Please download and complete the forms below for the contests. Submissions must be received by January 10th, 2025.
The Art Contest will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Elementary and monetary prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Middle/High School.
The Verbal Arts Contest will have monetary prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Middle/High School.
Winners must attend the Vigil to receive their awards.
