Last night, October 9th, the Belen Fire Department teamed up with Domino’s for Fire Prevention Week. They followed the pizza delivery person to the customers’ homes and the customers were really excited to see the fire department!
The customers allowed the Fire Department to go into their houses and test the smoke alarms. All of the customers had working smoke alarms, so they received FREE pizza courtesy of Domino’s Pizza.
The Fire Department did not need to install any smoke alarms or batteries, so way to go Belen!
It was a successful event and one that everyone enjoyed. Don’t forget to join the Fire Department for the Fire Prevention Week Open House on Friday, October 12th, from 12 – 3pm, and come prepared to judge the chili contest!
