Movie in the Park

The City of Belen Employee Appreciation Committee and the Belen Public Library are excited to announce a Movie in the Park. Hocus Pocus will play on October 14th, 2023 at dusk at Anna Becker Park. The event is FREE for entry and there will be concessions available for purchase. Come and join us for a spooky good time!

Halloween Trunk or Treat

The City of Belen Parks and Recreation Department will host their annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 31st from 5 – 8pm. This year it will be held on Becker Ave. between 5th and 6th streets in conjunction with the Nightmare on Becker. To register visit the Belen Community Center or call Martha at 505-966-2700.

Nightmare on Becker

Belen Parks & Recreation Presents Flag Football League – UPDATE

The City of Belen Parks and Recreation Department presents Boys and Girls Flag Football League! The deadline for enrollment has been extended to September 22nd! The league is for ages 6-12 and the cost per child is only $70. Please contact the Belen Recreation Center to enroll at 505-966-2700.

City of Belen Offices Closed for Labor Day

In observance of Labor Day, all City of Belen offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 4th. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 5th. Please note – the City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 6pm. Thank you and have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend!

Youth Volleyball League Open for Registration

The City of Belen Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for Youth Volleyball. Youth from 1st – 6th grade can participate. The fee is $46 per person and registration needs to be completed by September 8th. The league begins on September 11th.
